• Wednesday 13 March 2024 2324 Willow wb 11.03.24 This week as part of our writing lessons the children have created their own explanation texts. The class had the choice of two topics that they could write and explain how something works. They were given a success criteria to follow to help include all the things we have been learning about over the last few weeks. Take a look at some of the photos to see how the children got on.

• Wednesday 28 February 2024 Willow wb 26.02.24 This week as part of our Science, the children have been learning about reflective surfaces. We compared light sources and objects that reflect light and described what happens when rays of light hit the objects. We also discussed the difference between opaque, translucent and transparent. The children looked at various objects and sorted them into items with a reflective surface and items that absorb light. We learned that light travels in straight lines and can bounce off objects and reflect back into our eyes. In music we have been appraising and learning to sing a new song called ‘The Dragon Song’. We accompanied this piece with our recorders where we placed G and A by listening carefully.
