Visit from Harriett Baldwin
Our Envirominnies Eco Team were delighted by a visit from our local MP, Mrs Harriett Baldwin. They were able to voice their concerns about the future of the planet, and did so with great eloquence. Concerns raised were:-
- Overuse of Palm Oil
- Sustainability of trees
- Pollution and CO2 emissions
- Responsibility of manufacturers to ensure that plastic drinks bottles are properly recycled
- Litter in the sea and space
- Oil spills and pollution affecting wildlife
- Plastic entering the food chain, through fish
- Icebergs melting, the sea rising affecting land and crops
- Mass migrations with land becoming uninhabitable
- Animals and plants becoming extinct
The group would like to thank Mrs Baldwin for listening to their concerns.
