It's been the busiest of busy weeks in more ways than one!
On Monday, we attended the Remembrance Service Assembly led by the Year 5 pupils which was very special. Then on Tuesday, it was time for something completely different, with our cinema trip to see Kung Fu Panda 4 at Pershore Number 8. It was very exciting to go on the coach and spend some time out and about with the rest of the school. Then, in the afternoon, our class worked with Mrs Stephenson to unpack all the things donated for the Shoebox Appeal and sort them into their different types. The children counted items in fives, tallied them and recorded this data so that we could work out how many there were and whether we'd need any more. After lots more sorting by the rest of the school, next week they'll be packing the shoeboxes ready to be sent on their journey to help children whose lives are very different to their own. And today, we've been fundraising for Children in Need. We're very proud of our two School Council Representatives who wrote our information so neatly on the posters which have been put up around school.
Alongside all of this, we've also been learning in subjects across the curriculum. In maths, both year groups have moved on to subtraction. We've started work on our new text in English, 'Stuck' by Oliver Jeffers. In topic, the children added more details to their 'My Family' sheets while in RE, they found out about some of the special ways in which Muslims welcome a new baby. We completed our data analysis on Autumn weather and then also did some fun activities as part of Children in Need. I think the children all deserve a restful weekend!
