Willow w/c 6th December 2021

Last week the children in Willow Class made a moving toy using a lever. The children measured their card accurately using a set of instructions and attached the pieces of card together with a split pin, creating a pivot and linkage (year 4). The children evaluated their final piece against the design brief and talked about what went well and the challenges they faced. The children used various Maths and Design and Technology skills to make their moving toy. 

In our English lessons this week, the children learnt about Kennings Poems. We learnt what they are and why they were written. The children wrote a Kennings poem about the wolf from the story Arthur and the Golden Rope. Take a look at some of our poems in this week's gallery.
