Volcanoes, Chinese New Year and a Sea of Dreams
What a busy week it has been. The Sea of Dreams book took us on an imaginary journey from the beach to a boat. We have played in the sand and water and even made a boat out of a cardboard box.
We have also made a small world play volcano and watched it erupt. We noticed how the larva sped down the mountain side and decided to play the larva game, where we set up an obstacle course to avoid the larva monster!
On Tuesday morning, we joined Holly Class to celebrate Chinese New Year. We found out about how children across the world mark the day. We each discovered our Chinese zodiac sign, made red envelopes (with little surprises in), lanterns and decorated a large dragon which now brightens up the wall above the Acorn pegs. We even had chance to eat some prawn crackers, which were very popular indeed.
