Sports and adventures in Holly Class!
It has been a brilliant week in Holly class, full of sports, activities and adventures! We all had a fabulous sports day on Wednesday. I thought the children were absolutely amazing, joining in and giving everything their very best go in their house groups through the morning, they showed such confidence and determination in everything they did. Then, in the afternoon we had such a lot of fun with the sack race, egg and spoon, bean bag races and hoop skipping. Thank you so much to everyone who came to watch and cheer us on! There are photos on the sports day blog for you all to see.
The Year 1 children had their last swimming session and had a great fun swim yesterday. They have all made so much progress and it has been lovely to see their confidence grow. Then today, to finish our week of adventures, we all went up to forest school for the afternoon. It was such a treat (for me too!) to go and see the children working so independently in the forest environment, exploring and discovering together.
This week we have also been checking in and doing some assessments of all the learning we have done this term. The children have all worked so hard and I am really proud of how adaptable they have been as we have jumped between concentrating on reading, phonics, spelling, writing and maths. They have enjoyed showing off their skills and wowing Mrs Morgan and I with everything they can do and remember. We are very proud of them all!
