P.E round up
In P.E this half term we have all been country dancing, with each class learning a different dance. Everyone has enjoyed themselves so much, we wanted to share our dances with the rest of the school and our families, so we have held a Country Dancing festival to celebrate our newly developed skills!
The Festival was a huge success and all the children put on great performances with their classmates. Holly class performed the Circassian circle, Hawthorn performed Galopede, Willow performed Holmfirth Square and Oak performed Clopton Bridge and Pat a cake Polka.
Our resident Country Dancing expert, Mrs Chamberlain, joined us for all our P.E lessons and helped us learn all our new moves. A big thank you to her for all her hard work and for bringing us up to such a great standard!
Sponsored Skipping
We have been blown away by the success of our Sponsored Skip for CASK which we held last week. The event was to support Ben's sister who suffers from a CASK gene mutation, to raise much needed funds for gene therapy research. So far we have raised in excess of £2200.00 which is an incredible amount for all our children to have achieved. We would like to say a huge thank you on behalf of Emily, Ben's mum. The support means so much to the family and to the charity. If anyone has not had chance to donate yet or hand in their sponsor money, please send in as soon as possible after half term. Thank you from us all for supporting the charity.
We have had two events cancelled this week due to the bad weather, the Year 3 Cluster Tag Rugby festival and the Worcestershire Cross Country final. Both of these events will be rescheduled for next term.
