Not a Stick

‘Not a stick’ has been a great book to inspire us in our 30 days Wild outdoor fun this week. On Monday, we used sticks to make a house for the Bog Baby, on Tuesday we used them as paintbrushes, on Wednesday we used them to measure with (who had the longest, shortest etc), although we got somewhat distracted by a ‘water pipe’ that the builders no longer needed.  We moved it, cleaned it and tested pouring water down it, and decided to keep it to use in our outdoor play.  We have also had great fun chasing and catching bubbles.

However, the highlight of the week was a trip to All Things Wild, with children and parents. We had great fun visiting the animals and dinosaurs, picnicking and playing.  It will be a trip that we will all remember for many years to come.  Thank you Acorn parents and children for making it such a success.
