Condover Day 1

After a very wet start we were in blazing sunshine by mid afternoon just in time for our activities to start!

We had a great journey, lunch, games in the grounds and then up to our rooms to unpack. It was all very exciting!!

Our first activities were either Team Challenge or abseilling and all the children had a fabulous time. All the abseillers were very brave and made it to the top of tower (by stairs) and down again by rope! The biggest challenge was getting into the harnessess; something they will get used to very quickly this week. In Team Challenge, the children showed their collaberative working skills and it made us very proud to see them all working together so well.

Next stop was tea in the canteen - a delicious selection of food was on offer and even chocolate ice cream for pudding. After this the children had some free time in their dorm or outside in the sunshine. The last activity was campfire where we learnt lots of songs all which had silly actions and even an impromtu talent show.

All were getting weary as we neared bedtime, so after a quick biscuit and reflection of the day it was off to bed.

As I write this blog all I can hear is a chorus of snores!!
