We've begun a new book in English called, 'Could a penguin ride a bike?', which the children are loving! We've watched a few videos to find out more about penguins and had a go at drawing them, as well as writing about them.
In maths, the children are working on 'Shape', both the 2D and 3d varieties. The Year 1s had lots of fun building towers and the Year 2s enjoyed making shapes on pegboards!
We've really got going with our topic now and the children collaged continents using tissue paper for our map of the world display. They've also labelled world maps using a key and learnt a clever way of remembering the four main compass directions (Never Eat Shredded Wheat).
In RE, we've started a new unit of work, 'What do Christians think God is like?' We began with the story of the Prodigal Son and Miss Miller presented a stick puppet version of it.
In Science, we were learning about the 7 life processes of living things and then worked with a partner to decide whether some items were living, dead or have never been alive. There was some super teamwork on show.
