The Selfish Crocodile
The story this week, tells us about a crocodile with a rotten tooth. He is very unhappy until a kindly mouse helps him by removing his tooth. This has led to a conversation about keeping our teeth healthy and what we need to do to keep them clean. We have had opportunity to clean some giant teeth and played a game with a greedy gorilla which helps us to differentiate between healthy and unhealthy food. We have also been trying different fruits each day i.e. dragon fruit, papaya and mango. Some of the children thoroughly enjoyed it and others didn't!
We have had great fun playing on our soft play toys, practising our gross motor skills of climbing and balancing. We have learnt a rhyme about monkeys swinging in a tree and counted backwards as they are snapped at by the crocodile.
We finished the week with a trip to see some lambs. Thank you Liz and Jamie for letting Holly and Acorn Class visit the farm and for giving us such a wonderful experience.
