Holly Class week beginning 2nd December

The Holly class children, along with the children in Hawthorn class, have been working so hard this week during our preparations for the nativity. The children have learnt their lines, tried on their costumes and practised up on the stage. It has been keeping us very busy and we can't wait to share it with you all next week! 

This week we have also been doing lots of recap of learning from this first term at school. The children have been showing off their phonics and maths knowledge through different games and activities to show off the amazing things they can now do. 

We have been reading The Three Little Pigs and the children have enjoyed designing and building different types of houses inspired by this. Together as a class, we drew a story map which helped the children to learn and retell the story. The children then used this to do some lovely writing. The Year 1 children worked on retelling the story whilst the Reception children chose the most important parts to draw and label.
