In English, the children have been using conjunctions in their sentences and started preparations for their own stories in the style of 'Stuck' - with a twist! This time, our main character will be dropping things down a drain instead of tossing them up into a tree!
In maths, Year 1s have begun their work on place value within 20 and enjoyed sharing a lovely book called, "1 to 20, Animals Aplenty". Year 2s have been adding two 2-digit numbers on a number line, and found out how important it is to draw accurate jumps and label them correctly.
In RE, the children enjoyed having a lesson about Christian weddings led by Mrs Thompson, and in Topic, they took a look at a range of everyday items from the past and compared them with their present-day equivalents.
At the beginning of the week we had a visitor from Corum Life Education for our PSHE lesson. They discussed different feelings, how they might recognise this and who they could speak to to help them if they needed it. Harold the giraffe was very popular as he told the children his story!
