Acorn 24 Sarah's 2 Nativities
This week has been dominated with practising the Razzle and Dazzle song for the school nativity on Wednesday. All the children had opportunity to practise on the stage and those children that attended on the Wednesday afternoon gave a fantastic performance; a source of great pride for their families and the Acorn staff team.
The story this week, gives insight into the life of a little girl who has grandparents with 2 different faiths. Sarah, tells of her favourite story from the Bible and the Quran, which both feature Mary and the Baby Jesus. This tied in well with the nativity story that we learnt last week. Each child has been given 5 pictures of the story and asked to recount the story, with some lovely interpretations.
On Friday, Mrs Barnett came into class and brought some of her favourite singing Christmas decoration. The children were enchanted by the singing dog and choir of Father Christmas, Rudolph and a snowman singing Christmas classics.
We have had great fun decorating a Christmas tree, singing Christmas songs and learning how to play musical statues. The children have been their knowledge of prepositions to describe to me where the elf is hidden. Well done Acorn Class!
