Shaping Bright Futures Together

Acorn 24 Jesus' Christmas Party

Christmas has come to Acorn Class!  There is now a sleigh and plenty of reindeer to pull it.  There is also a Post Office, with plenty of parcels, letters and stamps which find their way into Santa's sack.  The role play has been fantastic, with children joining together in their imaginary games.

Jesus' Christmas Party is a fun way to tell the story of the nativity.  We have started to learn about the key figures in the story and are enjoying practising the star song that we will be performing in the KS1 production next Wednesday.

We have made some beautiful Christmas baubles which will be available to buy at the Christmas School Fayre and have started work on a calendar which the children will bring home at the end of term.

Clare Bayley has been into school and decorated one of our windows with baubles.  We have each coloured one in.  Thank you Clare for drawing the baubles and lending us the pens to colour them in!

We have been focusing on initial sounds of words, by playing the I spy game.  The children have got better, with the more practice they have had.  We have also been practising our prepositions, with children being asked to hide a reindeer toy in different positions around the classroom.
