Acorn The Nativity Story

Christmas has arrived in Acorn Class.  The children came into school on Monday to find a decorated classroom and 2 penguins!  Work has started on our Christmas crafts, but there are no photos because the Acorns will be bringing home their treasures as gifts.  We have been singing Christmas songs and practising our dancing for party games next week.

The focus of the week has been the school nativity.  11 Acorn children performed brilliantly in the KS1 production and made us all very proud.  It was a delight to see how confidently the children stood on the stage, dressed as little lambs and sang the song 5 Happy Shepherds.  Many of them have only been in school since September.  They have also been retelling the nativity story, with some lovely insightful narrative!
