23 Acorn Autumn 1 Week 2

This week we have been on a Bear Hunt.  We made binoculars to help us on our way. 

On Monday, we followed some mysterious footsteps to a cave in the classroom and found a very friendly bear waiting for us. 

On Tuesday, he had disappeared and we hunted around the school, jumping, stomping, crawling and tip toeing until we found him hiding behind the curtain on the stage. 

On Wednesday, he had disappeared again!  This time, we took our shoes and socks off and followed him into the playground.  We squelched in mud, splashed in water and ran through grass to find him.  The children have also enjoyed a book called the cave and they worked together to 'paint' a bear to put in our cave, using their hands and mud.

We have had a lovely week, as we have all got to know each other a little better and used our imagination to further our learning.
