A Street Through Time
We started the week with a look through this lovely book, which takes us on a journey through history, showing us how a piece of land has changed over time. We really enjoyed popping into the church on Tuesday, on the way to explore the meadow, and looking at a really old building.
The Reception children joined us to learn all about satellites and their use in space. One of our children's older brother works in the industry and came and told us all about the moon and the sun. We thoroughly enjoyed it and he has inspired some of us to think about a future career in a space related job.
Our thoughts then moved on to Easter. We have had great fun, doing egg and spoon races, doing Easter egg hunts and making delicious chocolate shredded wheat nests. We have used pretend eggs to recreate a sequence of coloured pictures of eggs and also used them in our counting, (some children have been able to match the number on an egg to the amount in the egg box).
We have also spent lots of time outside (between showers), visiting the meadow and see the ewes and their lambs, and having a lovely adventure underneath the oak tree. On Thursday, we went to the tennis courts with the Holly children, where we did part of the P.E. class and experimented with tennis rackets.
