22-Acorn Home

Acorn class have really enjoyed the story of 'Home' which has introduced us to the idea that houses look different in other countries.  We have been watching some short films, which show children living in different continents, with their families, at home.  This has since inspired us to junk model our own dream house, with some wonderfully imaginative results.  To date, we have rockets, a pirate ship, castles, a windmill and a lighthouse.

We have also been looking at keys and discussing the different sizes of them.  We have been matching them to the 'big', 'medium' and 'small' doors.

Many of us had been to Bonfire Night events last weekend.  We have had great fun making splatter pictures with old tea bags and paint. We have danced to music in the style of a firework and experimented with musical instruments to make our own firework sounds.
