Shaping Bright Futures Together

Year 3 Tri golf and Tag rugby

Tri golf

Some of our year 3 pupils have recently had the opportunity to try out a new sport when they attended the District Tri-Golf competition.

There were 10 teams in total from all over the Evesham district and the event was run by the young leaders from St Egwins.

The morning consisted of a round robin of activities all using different skills and giving the children the chance to  try out different clubs including the chipper and the putter. We had a really enjoyable morning learning some new skills!

Tag Rugby

Our year 3 Tag Rugby team played Sedgeberrow school this week in an out of school fixture down at Ashton playing fields. We were lucky enough to have two of our Dads, Matt Musto and Ed Quilter who are rugby coaches , come and help us run the event.

It was a great evening, starting off with a training session and progressing to 2 matches between us and the 2 Sedgeberrow teams.

We had a very successful afternoon, drawing one match and winning the other. All of the children displayed some great rugby skills and their enthusiasm and great sportsmanship shone though. Some of our pupils had never played rugby before but gave it their all and ended up being valuable members of our squad. Well done to all of them and a massive thank you to Mr Musto and Mr Quilter for doing such a professional job.
